Liquid Castle Soap

Hand Soap

  • 1 cup distilled water
  • 1/4 cup castile soap, liquid
  • 1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil (carrier oil)
  • 15 drops essential oils of choice

I’ve found fractionated coconut oil is a terrible addition. It doesn’t mix well and is hard to rise off. A better option is to accept the consistancy of liquid castle soap will be different from commertial hand soaps.

The way soap works is it binds and pulls away oil from a surface, then water rises that mixture presumably including germs away down the drain. If soap is to work properly it should not also be mosturizing.

tl;dr Avoid adding any extra oils, if you want mosturizing or scents on your skin then find a moisturizer to apply after washing your hands.
