Basic Method

  1. Add shoe-tree
  2. Take out laces
  3. Water & soap solution into bowl
  4. Scrub with soft-bristle brush
  5. Move to medium-bristle brush, continue to scrub mid sole
  6. Move to stiff-bristle brush, for out-sole / bottom
  7. Dunk laces into soap solution, rub together with hands
  8. Throw everything in laundry bag (cold water, air-dry)

For cloth & canvas: Baking soda solution

  1. Mix equal parts baking soda and water in a small container until a paste forms.
  2. Use an bush to scrub shoes
  3. Rinse paste off with cool running water
  4. Wipe off with towel

For leather sandals: Vinegar and water solution

  1. Mix equal parts water and distilled white vinegar
  2. Use brush to scrub shoes
  3. Let dry
  4. Apply leather conditioner

For suede sandals: Rubbing alcohol and stand-paper

NOTE: Water stains suede

  1. Alcohol dipped cotton ball on stains
  2. Sand suede with fine-grit sandpaper
