Fall Smash

I used the components of a classic whiskey smash (similar to a mint julep but with lemon), added some cinnamon syrup and apple cider to work for fall. Full recipe below.

Apple Cider Whiskey Smash:

  • 2 oz. Whiskey (I used makers mark)
  • 3-4 Mint Leaves
  • 1/2 oz. Cinnamon Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 oz. Lemon, juiced
  • 4 oz. Apple Cider
  • Crushed Ice

In a glass, combine the mint, lemon, and cinnamon simple syrup. Muddle to release the aromatics of the mint. Add in the whiskey, apple cider, and pour into a cocktail shaker. Shake till chilled and strain into a glass over crushed ice. Garnish with mint and an apple slices (I made apple roses).
